We Nurture, Motivate, and Empower Youth, Girls, Women

The plight of Youth, women, and girls in Kenya is held back by social norms, beliefs, and traditional ideas about their roles in the community. Women and girls are therefore inhibited from contributing to development goals, in economic growth, health and nutrition, and food security. Youth and women are cut from decision-making positions and have limited access to education and skills development, land, employment, water, and other basic needs. Women, girls, and boys spend most of their productive time fetching water and firewood or looking after livestock.

The Kenyan Constitutional Dispensation of 2010 provides a framework for eliminating gender inequality. Youth, women, girls, and vulnerable groups now have legal instruments guaranteeing social mobility. Otto Benecker Foundation promotes access to opportunities by engaging in the following activities:

  1. Creating safe spaces where youth, women, and girls are free from violence;
  2. Strengthening youth and women’s access to resources and opportunities that will allow them to share more broadly in the benefits of economic growth;
  3. Increasing the participation of youth and women in decision and policy-making at all levels;
  4. Ensuring youth and women participate in peace-building, conflict prevention, and mitigation; and
  5. Narrowing gender gaps in education, vocational skills development, and learning.
  6. Fostering food security through new agricultural practices
  7. Talent development focusing on youth through sporting activities and theatre arts
  8. Environmental management and skills development
  9. Health education on sexual reproductive health education among youth

*SAVING LIVES IN NGURUMANI KENYA*

In the heart of Ngurumani, located in Kajiado County, Kenya, a harrowing situation unfolds each day. Pregnant mothers embark on a perilous 27-mile (45km) journey aboard motorbikes to reach healthcare facilities that are distant and often inaccessible. This journey is not just a physical challenge but a life-threatening ordeal filled with peril, pain, and despair. Tragically, mothers and children are paying the ultimate price with their lives.

In response to this heartbreaking reality, a mission has emerged—a mission to bring about transformative change. *The goal is unequivocal: to raise $250,000 for a lifesaving ambulance.* This ambulance is envisioned not only as a mode of transportation but as a beacon of hope, a mobile clinic, and a rapid response unit that will effectively bring healthcare to Ngurumani's doorstep.

The ambulance, however, is just the beginning. The larger vision is to establish a hospital that will provide comprehensive and sustainable healthcare to the community. While the ambulance serves as an immediate solution, it signifies the initial step toward the overarching goal of a permanent healthcare facility.

The impact of this initiative is profound. With the ambulance, swift and critical care can be provided to pregnant mothers and children, ensuring their safety and well-being. Lives will be saved, suffering will be reduced, and healthcare will be brought to those who need it most.

The call to action is clear—your donation has the power to turn despair into hope. With your support, lives will be saved, comfort will be provided, and smiles will return to the faces of Ngurumani's mothers and children.

The urgency of the situation cannot be overstated. Without intervention, more mothers and children will continue to face the agonizing journey, and more lives will be lost unnecessarily. It's a future that cannot be accepted, but together, a positive change is within reach.

Join this urgent mission today. Your contribution will be a lifeline to Ngurumani mothers and their unborn dreams. Act now and become a part of the movement to bring hope, health, and happiness to Ngurumani.
